What would you like people to know about you?

As a journeyperson stylist since 1985, inspired by my desire to share my love for hair, fashion and design with my clients, I have invested in ongoing learning from the masters in the industry. In addition to participating in the in-house Redken training at Shear Excellence, I have trained and certified with the following:

  • Vidal Sassooon (London, UK)

  • Tony and Guy (London, UK, NYC)

  • Sebastian Academy (Los Angeles)

  • Suki’s Academy (Vancouver)

  • Schwartzkopf Academy (Toronto)

  • Redken Academy (NYC)

While I value education and growth, my end goal in staying current is keeping my clients looking their best.

What can guests expect when they visit the salon?

A professional consultation and honest, heartfelt recommendations for cut and/or colour to enhance a client’s natural skin tone and eye colour. I will work with each client to find the best style to compliment their face, body shape and lifestyle.

What’s your favourite beauty trend of all time?

Trends recycle, but come back with a modernized edge. I love everything from the 70’s, especially hair and fashion! The 70’s were timeless, from Sassoon’s perfectly crafted pixies and technically precise bobs, to Farrah Fawcett’s free flowing long layers (making a comeback for 2021). I love the soft, balayage and ombre highlights that work well to accentuate these cuts. I have particularly adopted Sassoon’s timeless wet/dry cutting techniques, which I love for their excellent finishing touches.

What’s one thing you cannot live without?

One thing only?!

I live and breathe fashion and design, not only in my professional life, but in my personal life as well. I love staying “in the know” about clothing fashion trends and home decor. My home is my canvas and happy place for my friends and me and of course, my dogs! I am presently sharing my life with my two pugs, Stella and Skippy, who bring smiles to my face every single day. I have been actively involved in pug rescue and have given a home to many a rescue over the years. I have loved them all.

When not at work, where can people expect to find you?

Besides spending time with my partner, friends and family, I can be found online researching fashion and design or helping a friend or colleague with interior design or home staging. I can’t wait to explore the latest educational hair artistry video, home decor trends or fresh clothing styles. I always have my eye on combining my love of travel with new industry educational opportunities. As I said, I live and breathe fashion and design!
